Scan2Contacts: New Portable Scanner for Outlook

So, what are portable scanners and why would you need one?

We’ve all had scanners around for years, from those clunky desktop models for personal use on up to the large industrial types with ADF (Automatic Document Feeders) that scan all measure of stuff. However, when we’ve been on the go, we’ve had to get really creative if we wanted to capture a paper image while in a hotel, airport or bus station. Its just never been very feasible to drag our scanners with us. Enter Scan2Contacts and their new business card scanner.

Scan2Contacts is the new business card scanner from ScanshellStore offering the perfect scanning solution for businesses looking for software which is fully integrated with Microsoft Outlook. Scan2Contacts eliminates the middle step between scanning and recognition in Outlook with its ScanShell 800N which scans, provides OCR (Optical Character recognition) and creates a contact record. It will scan both text and image without the need to install any kind of 3rd party software and it’s fast. It is also Vista compatible. It only takes a few seconds per scan and is small, doesn’t require external power and very portable. You can hold it in your hand.

While scanner resolution and technology have increased in both quality and speed, we’ve always been limited in portability. Portability has always equated to high-price when it came to scanners and those that were cost-effective often lacked in quality sometimes coming in at less than bad fax quality. The need for an inexpensive, quality portable scanner has been long overdue in the industry and the Scan2Contacts business card scanner seems to fit the bill and then some. It’s much more than a business card scanner.

Some things that it is good for besides business card scanning include: check scanning, passport scanning, medical card and ID card scanningas well as electronic signature solutions.

Getting Free Stuff Online

One of my favorite places to get free stuff is at Free Fusion Freebies. They have stuff like free product samples, free electronics, free gift cards and free mp3s and sweepstakes. Under free electronics they are currently giving aways a free AppleTV witha 40GB hard drive that holds 50 hours of video, a free Nintendo DS, Canon Powershot SD and the ever popular iPod Nano.

In terms of Google Adsense revenue share, one of my favorite sites is Pimp My Article where the directory owner does Adsense revenue sharing between the people who submit to the directory as well as being part of a directory of article content for people to read and webmasters to use.
