A Look at Korg’s New MIDI Bundle
Korg solves the music-making problems of on-the-go musicians with the new Korg MIDI Bundle!
Korg unveils its new series of MIDI controllers, the answer to every artist’s the nanoSeries devices. Its range of MIDI controllers features three compact products the nanoKEY, the nanoPAD, and the nanoKONTROL.
The nanoKEY is built to be tough, and is a 25-note, velocity-sensitive model. The nanoKEY is not only ideal for recording chords and melodies, but can send MIDI data as well. Its Octave Shift feature gives you immediate access to the entire MIDI note range, further expanding its power. The nanoKEY also comes complete with pitch and modulation buttons, so your performance will have that natural controller expression, despite its size.
You might be surprised to see the nanoKEY in a very small size. In fact it is so small, you can put it virtually anywhere you want in front of your laptop, in your work station, or wherever you need a versatile control over your virtual instrument or software. But despite its size, the nanoKEY comes with several benefits when it comes to functionality, but its intuitive layout makes operation a breeze for any user.
The nanoPAD has 12 highly responsive trigger pads (including an X/Y pad) that are perfect both for laptop DJs and drum programming because of its roll and flam functions that provides unique interface ideal for realistic drum programming. It is USB powered, and is also capable of sending both notes and MIDI control data.
The nanoPAD also has a Chord Trigger function that lets you enter chords onto a single pad, which helps you to make the most of the work surface as you create. The nanoPAD can also send control change messages, which makes it a great interface for solos and multi tracks. You can turn the objects on and off, or trigger clips during live performances.
Finally, Korg finishes the deal with nanoKONTROL. It gives you 9 faders, 9 knobs, 18 switches, and a full transport section allowing you expansive control. That means that is the perfect DAW and plug-in control, although it also has a note input mode that will help you lay down your next big groove.
Each of the four programmable scenes that the nanoKONTROL has allows you to set the controllers as you please That means you can send 168 different MIDI Control Change messages and MIDI notes using these switches. It has 6 transport buttons, and each can either send MIDI Control Change messages or MMC messages to control functions such as start, stop, loop, or record.
