Backup Your Valuable Blog
What are your valuable rants and raves worth? What am I talking about? Every day you put blood, sweat and tears into producing interesting and controversial blog posts about your niche. Now, ask yourself, what’s your time worth?
I don’t know about you, but when I say this new service called IDrive-B, I was ready to sign up. I know there’s a plug-in for WordPress where you can backup your database, but not everybody is running WP and not everyone is tech savvy. So this is an affordable way to go where you can backup your blogs and not have to remember it.
Why would you want to? Well, I was blogging along on WP for a while and a few of the tables got corrupted. Do you know what happens when that happens? Well, it ain’t pretty. I had the plugin going, but I still had a heart-attack when I arrived to find my blog showing gibberish. For $4.95 a month, I could sleep easier knowing that all my efforts are not in vain. And you don’t have to remember to back it up.
IDrive-B (http://www.idrive.com) is a new feature addition to IDrive-E to backup your blogs. You can sign for free or a paid pro account. You can view and restore your blog data within 24 hours after setting it up first time; after the first backup, subsequent backups are automatically executed periodically. Blog backup storage is limited to 1GB.
In addition, IDrive-E offers other standard features including encrypted Online Backup for your critical data on your PC, free up to 2GB and unlimited for $4.95/month. Now that’s something worth considering. It works itself over the Internet and you don’t have to remember to manually backup.
