Journey-Lite Lap-Band System
Bring dancing back into your life.
Please note: This is strictly for folks who are not happy with their weight or find that their size is causing them serious health-problems. If you’re happy, keep on dancin’!!
I’ve been lucky in that I’ve never gotten to the point where I would need gastric bypass. Now, I’ve fought weight all my life, but I’ve always managed not to get heavier than I am today (which I’m not sharing because I’m too heavy). Continuing on, I’ve always had a soft spot for folks who have, either for hormonal, insulin-resistant or emotional reasons, have gotten too big to diet and exercise their way back down to a healthy weight without some help. I’ve seen where folks have developed all kinds of secondary problems as a result of weight. Gastric bypass always sounded like high-stress, but with little else out there, sometimes it was the only way to go.
Like most things in life, time and technology always invents things that make life and surgery easier. Thank God. I saw a commercial about lap-band system by Journey Lite, and it was talking about laparoscopic surgery which I’ve had for other medical issues. I also had full abdominal surgery, and let me tell you, the difference is phenomenal. The fact that you don’t have to go through full abdominal cutting is a real winner.
It’s called Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric procedure which is performed by a Journey Lite surgeon.. The LAPBAND Adjustable Gastric Band is designed to help you lose excess body weight, improve weight-related health conditions and enhance quality of life. Essentially, it works like the full Gastric bypass without all that pain and grief. It reduces the stomach capacity and restricts the amount of food that can be consumed at one time.
With that said, if you’re thinking about this kind of procedure, or simply wondering what to do next in your weight loss program, especially if it’s not working and you have health issues, check this out before things get worst. This is as close as it comes to non-invasive, get back on your feet quick surgery, with a real chance at getting the pounds off and getting on with your life.
