This has got to be one of the best albums I have heard all year. I’m glad Linkin Park went in a new direction and didn’t give us the same tried and true formula which worked before. That shows growth as an artist and I think they did an awesome job.
“Little Things Give You Away” is one of the best songs that I have heard in a very long time. Here’s a good review by Jason Kirk from Amazon.com. While we know he’s trying to sell the album and will give a positive review, this really sort of sums up the new Linkin Park newest offering, Minutes to Midnight
. It’s good, different and very stylized for 2007.
Minutes to Midnight
stands to defend Linkin Park’s status as the hardest-rockin’ softies in mainstream music. Like its predecessors Hybrid Theory (2000) and Meteroa (2003), Minutes to Midnight flexes plenty of decibel-heavy muscle (”Given Up,” “Bleed It Out,” “No More Sorrow”) and made-to-order, melodic radio fare (”Leave Out All the Rest,” “Shadow of the Day,” “In Pieces”). But for all its volume, Linkin Park likes to paint its heart openly on its sleeve with suspicious sonic drama, as in the palpably saccharine “Valentine’s Day.” Fortunately, co-producer Rick Rubin brings all these elements to pinnacle effect with the surprise “Hands Held High.” On past efforts, the combination of breezy keyboard, arpeggiated guitar, choral vocals, and a military snare-beat would yield another slab of smarm, here MC Mike Shinoda drops the two best verses of his career, blending vocal styles with singer Chester Bennington for a moving piece that’s as welcome a repertorial addition as Linkin Park is ever likely to muster. –Jason Kirk

When you think of all the ski resorts in the world one of them stands out in your mind. Aspen offers a variety of ski areas for all levels and it covers 4,500 acres or more spread over four mountains.
This resort is known for its nightlife because of the downtown area and the quieter Snow mass resort area has something to offer everyone.
We were thinking about going with a vacation rental property and while we like Colorado, we were thinking about Lake Tahoe vacation rentals this time around when ski season hits. It’s really a toss up, though. We really liked our trip to Aspen.
Aspen provides all the restaurants and bars you could ever want or need You can take a stroll through this luxurious city and find many boutiques
and much more. We saw some really nice places to stay as well besides the ski resort like Mad Creek Bed and Breakfast which is a small Victorian B&B nestled in the Rocky Mountains about 35 miles west of Denver and some places for family fun where you could rent condos that looked lovely via the Internet.
There is a lot of history in many of the buildings that are in the downtown area. One of these buildings is the Ute bank; this building can be dated back to the silver area around the 1800’s.
So, it’s a real toss up on where to go this year on vacation.
I also found this site for vacation rentals via one of the paid per post posting which fit right into our planning for this coming year with all kinds of vacation rentals and ways to get them inexpensively. So we figured we’d plan ahead and write a quick post on Jambuzz, too. What I liked about them is that they are actually Vacation packages listed by owners and not by some large conglomerate. We’ve found that dealing with average people, you get a better deal and a nicer stay in the long run, so this paid sponsorship advertisement fit right in.

I work on my blogs both at home and at work during lunch. I’m always downloading the latest tune, creating a cool Powerpoint and putting together a vid or two. Sometimes I’m hit with a bit of inspiration on cats, writing, travel, et. al. and I’ll write about it. Up until now, I’ve been using a series of Flash USB storage devices which have been more or less successful. I used to drag around discs, then burned CDs, now Flash drives. The only problem I’ve had with it is that sometimes I misplace them, being the highly organized (NOT) writer that I am. LOL! The idea of having an online storage device that maps to my desktop on both my home and work computer sounds like a really good answer to the missing flash drive problem.
Enter iBackup Online Storagewho offers just that plus a whole lot more. iBackup provides online storage in the form of a drag-and-drop folder that resides on your desktop. I can write something up, create a Powerpoint presentation, upload and download a spreadsheet and keep things neat and tidy right there on my desktop. It provides a familiar explorer interface (ie. there’s a folder on my desktop), so it’s not a terribly high learning curve involved. It’s also inexpensive and upgradable, so you don’t have to start by selling your car for one month’s rental. The site talks about a performance difference that is very significant and that IBackup’s desktop applications outperform the rest by a factor of at least 30-50%. While this is important to the big guns, I jsut like the idea of being able to drop my music video into a folder and find it in that folder when I get home. For me, that’s significant.

When most internet users arrive at Google Video’s main page, they are there to find online movies to watch. Google is the place that many internet users go because they can not only watch free videos, but they also buy popular videos, often for less than two dollars.
Although a large number of internet users visit Google Video to watch fun videos, not everyone does. One problem that you may notice with Google Video is that there are times when you cannot upload your videos, often due to site maintenance. This is something that is usually only temporary; therefore, you shouldn’t be alarmed if you are not able to load and share your own videos with other internet users. The best thing that you can do is what until the feature becomes available again. In the mean time, you may want to upload your movie to another online video website, such as YouTube. Although, it is important to note that Google Video is a great place to share your video with the rest of the world. For that reason, you may want to regularly check back to see if and when you can begin to upload your movie.
